Propizol is a systemic fungicide used for the control of various fungal diseases in turfgrass and ornamental plants. The active ingredient is Propiconazole at a concentration of 14.3%. It is designed for use as a foliar spray on turfgrasses, as well as through trunk injection, micro-injection, or soil injection for trees. For turf, it controls diseases such as Dollar Spot, Brown Patch, Gray Leaf Spot, and Large Patch. For trees, it is used to manage diseases like Dutch Elm Disease, Anthracnose, and various cankers. Application methods vary by target: turf is applied via foliar spray, while trees can be treated via trunk injection (for larger diameters) or micro-injection (for smaller diameters). When using trunk injection, the product is diluted with water and injected into the tree's vascular system. Handling requires specific personal protective equipment, including chemical-resistant gloves, protective eyewear, and long-sleeved shirts. It is important to note that the product should not be applied to certain plants like violets, begonias, or ferns, and specific timing/weather precautions apply to prevent runoff and ensure efficacy.
