This product is Ferti-lome Tree & Shrub Systemic Insect Drench, containing 1.47% Imidacloprid. It is a systemic insecticide designed for outdoor residential use to prevent insects from damaging trees and shrubs. The active ingredient is absorbed by the roots and moves up through the plant to provide long-lasting protection, with one application lasting up to 12 months. It controls a wide variety of pests including Adelgids, Billbugs, Crane Fly Larvae, Leaf Beetles, Vine Weevil Larvae, Leafhoppers, Roundheaded Borers, Flatheaded Borers, Leafminers, Mealybugs, Pine Tip Moth Larvae, Japanese Beetles, Psyllids, Lacebugs, Royal Palm Bugs, Sawfly Larvae, Scales, Thrips, and Whiteflies. Application is performed by mixing the product with water in a bucket and pouring it around the base of the tree or shrub. For trees with one trunk, use 1 oz. per inch of distance around the trunk at chest height. For trees with multiple trunks, add the distances around each trunk and multiply by 0.75. For shrubs, use 3 oz. per foot of height. Note that application should not be done near lakes, streams, rivers, or ponds, and should not be used on water-logged or saturated soils. It is toxic to aquatic invertebrates.
